Slowly but surely...

Slowly but surely, our planning is coming along.

To-date, we have:

1. Confirmed our wedding banquet venue - Orchard hotel
2. Confirmed our bridal package - Sattine Bridal Couture
3. Confirmed exterior design of wedding invite
4. On the brink of hooking up with photographer

Things that are yet to be done -
1. Confirmation of church
2. Designing of Invite inserts & Church mass booklet (& Hymns and readings and procession details)
3. F&B reception in Church
4. Floral arrangement in church
5. Selection of wedding bands

And most importantly, LOSE WEIGHT!!!

Wouldn't want to be the bride that falls through the bridal cake! *bleagh*

But at least the bulky stuff are firmed up! =)

I can't help myself but gripe how weddings are such expensive affairs! Sigh... And I don't expect the economy to be on the up-turn anytime soon. So... may God Bless us!

Blessings...

Checked my gmail account this morning and found an additional to the series of 'funny' pictures that Rob has been collecting and sending to me... The one showing in this post is just one of them...

'To make you happy...' was what told me when he first told me about this collection that he has gotten off the web...

I can't help but be reminded of his ever thoughtfulness and of how sweet he can be... =)

I would love to give the proper credits for these pictures but as it's just a collection that he sent to me, I have no idea of the actual source. Will upload some of these as my posts go along! =)

A long overdued post...

The first entry for June 2009 - The month which officially depicts a new beginning and a new chapter in our lives... BECAUSE...

WE GOT OUR FLAT!

It's confirmed. On the 3rd of June 2009, Robbie and I confirmed our unit at THE PEAK and paid a hefty 5 figure deposit. This also means that there is no running away now unless we've got too much $ to drain into the government's potty.

Due for completion in 2012, the timing is pretty good for us, especially in terms of financial planning. Deposit paid 2009, wedding 2010, therefore, 2012 is ideal for other hefty payments for furnitures, and minor renovation for the new place.

Despite my gripes to Rob about the high cost, and spending beyond our budget, I'm actually quite excited about its arrival (at this point) and can only just wait patiently and expect... =D

P.S. Picture above is Rob's current favourite, and quite mine now... Gotten somewhere off the web... =)

Pretty little things...

I've always got a penchant for pretty little things and my heart goes 'OooOOohh....' everytime I see pretty little things...

This is also why this blog is starting to be a blog which I use to pen down things / ideas / designs that I find pretty and inspiring.

In the course of me surfing the net for inspiration and ideas, I came across this!

Fan-like program

Ain't this pretty? I definitely think that it's something different! =)

Hiatus...

Things have been a little of a 'On hiatus' over here lately because I've been distracted with another '3-minute passion' project... And Rob has simply been too busy with his exams to be distracted by any wedding planning...

I'm kinda looking forward to June when we can start actively planning for our future together in a more brick-n-mortar way and not just in our minds... =)

We sent in the application for The Peak and we are kinda waiting to see if the application comes through. Results will be announced for those who are listed as successful for a go at balloting of a unit over there.

Located in a very prime location, the price is really sky high. We have decided that we will do our thorough thought process and analysis only if we are given the chance to ballot. Otherwise, exploring a resale flat would be the other option.

This is kinda exciting, because just like how girls like to dress up their dolls when they are little, mothers love to dress up their kids while they still can... New home owners like to dress up the new homes together to depict their styles...

I love this idea that I came across lately while surfing the net... Vinyl wall stickers...

WORDS

Last but not least, I know this is not a work of vinyl sticker, but body paint. But still.... How cool is this!
